ಧಾರವಾಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘದ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಸೊಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಅದ್ದೂರಿ ಜಾತ್ರೆಯಂತಿತ್ತು. ವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದ ಈ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಮಾಜದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ತರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ, ಸಂಘವು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮೆರೆದಿತ್ತು.
ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕೇವಲ ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಆಶೆಯ ಕನಸು, ಗುರುಗಳ ದೀಪಶಿಖೆಯ ಬೆಳಕು, ತಾಯಿ–ತಂದೆಯ ತ್ಯಾಗದ ಫಲ, ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜದ ಗೌರವದ ಸಂಕೇತ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೂಗುಚ್ಛವನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ, ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹವನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವಾತಾವರಣವೇ ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಹಿರಿಯರ ವಚನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ದಾರಿದೀಪ ಹೊಳೆಯಿತು –
“ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟೇ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಸಂಘಟನೆಯೇ ಶಕ್ತಿ.”
ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ನುಡಿಯಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಂತ್ರ. ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಸಮಾಜದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನ ಉತ್ಸವವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ, ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಬಂಧ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಮೂರ್ತೀಕರಣವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಂತಿತು.
ಗಣ್ಯರು, ಹಿರಿಯರು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಯುವಕರು ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡ ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಗಡಿ ಮೀರಿ, ಜೀವನದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿತು.
ಈ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಮಾವೇಶವು ಸಮಾಜದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಹೊಂಗಿರಣವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯ ಗಂಗೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯ ದೀಪವಾಗಿಯೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿರಲಿದೆ.
